The Harwich Conservation Trust (HCT) currently protects 500+ acres in the Town of Harwich. As part of their mission, they need to effectively manage protected lands by understanding property boundaries while continually encouraging residents and visitors alike to enjoy selected scenic areas that have walking trails.
CARE provided HCT with funding for videos that give viewers a closer look into some of the preserved areas in the Town of Harwich. Included is some intriguing footage of the trails to give the viewer an immersive experience of the site. The hope is that they enable more people to discover the importance of land preservation and citizen science initiatives. For those with mobility challenges who are unable to get outside, they provide a means to enjoy the beauty and nature that HCT is preserving.
