Landscapes of Change is a collaborative public art installation highlighting the ever changing landscapes in which we live, on both land and sea, and the effects of humans on our environment. This project will be multifaceted and will incorporate environmental education, participation in local cleanup events, at beaches, parks and public venues, and the creation of art from the raw materials gathered from the cleanup events and through recycle programs at our partner agencies. The project includes the creation of “landscape frames” that will be part of the public art installation.

CapeCodCAN provides art education programs to over 15 Cape based day and residential programs to include LIFE, May Centers, Community Connections, Inc., Habilitation Assistance Corp., Transitions, CSA and Halyard. We also host inclusive after school art clubs at Bourne, Mashpee, Monomoy, and Sandwich High Schools. The teen and adult students from these programs will be invited to fully participate in the “Landscapes of Change” initiative led by their CapeCodCAN art instructors and certified art therapists.
