On January 22 (rain date January 23), AmeriCorps Cape Cod will partner with CARE for the Cape & Islands and the Center for Coastal Studies to organize a Cape-wide Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Day Beach Clean-up. Participating volunteers will focus their efforts on cleaning eight beaches spanning from Sandwich to Provincetown.
Multiple time slots (10 AM-12 PM, 12 PM-2 PM) and locations are listed below and are still available for those interested in volunteering.
Morning Time Slot Beaches (10 AM-12 PM)
- Cold Storage Beach, Dennis
- Nauset Beach, Orleans
- Breakwater Beach, Wellfleet
- Race Point Beach, Provincetown
Afternoon Time Slot Beaches (12 PM-2 PM)
- Springhill Beach, Sandwich
- Coast Guard Beach, Eastham
- Duck Harbor Beach, Wellfleet
- Herring Cove Beach, Provincetown
