The “Trash Your Tackle” project was recently launched by Wild Care, a wildlife rehabilitation center located in Eastham with the help from sponsors including CARE. This project encourages fishers to dispose of their fishing gear. This will be done by placing five PVC receptacles at separate locations in the town of Chatham, a very popular fishing location. People can dispose of their hooks, lines, and sinkers in the PVC receptacles so that they are removed from the environment. All materials will then be brought to Wild Care in order to dispose of correctly. Follow this link to read more about the project.
